fix: context menu Play Now playback and resize behaviour (#1174)
* fix(playlist): play the playlist from the context menu Play Now action The Playlists-page context menu 'Play Now' only navigated to the playlist detail page instead of starting playback. It now loads the playlist's songs and plays them via the shared playPlaylistAll action (same path as the detail page 'Play All' button), with a guard against load failures. * fix(ui): close the context menu on window resize The context menu is absolutely positioned at fixed coordinates, so resizing the window left it stranded and drifting off-screen. Whether a resize closed it was inconsistent across setups (it stayed open on some Windows and Linux environments). feat(music-network): unified scrobble & enrichment framework (replaces hard-wired Last.fm) (#1066)
* feat(music-network): core domain types and wire contracts
Foundation for the Music Network framework: provider-agnostic domain
types, capability model, typed errors, and account shapes under
src/music-network/core, plus the ScrobbleWire / EnrichmentWire /
PresetManifest / AuthStrategy contracts. No runtime wiring yet.
* feat(music-network): generic audioscrobbler/listenbrainz/maloja transports
Generalize the Rust remote layer for the Music Network framework. Add
provider-agnostic transports parameterized by base_url:
- audioscrobbler_request: Audioscrobbler v2 with caller-supplied endpoint
(Last.fm, Libre.fm, Rocksky, custom GNU FM, Maloja compat share it)
- listenbrainz_request: Token-header JSON (direct + Maloja LB compat)
- maloja_request: native /apis/mlj_1 JSON
lastfm_request stays as a thin transition delegate against the fixed
host; it is removed once the framework owns all call sites. Wiremock
tests cover audioscrobbler_request with a custom base_url and API-error
mapping.
* feat(music-network): audioscrobbler wire with last.fm + libre.fm presets
Add the Audioscrobbler v2 wire, the behavioural successor to the legacy
src/api/lastfm.ts, implementing the full EnrichmentWire surface (scrobble,
now playing, love/unlove, loved sync, similar artists, track/artist stats,
top lists, recent tracks, user profile, urls).
- client.ts: transport wrapper over audioscrobbler_request, classifying
failures into MusicNetworkError without touching any store
- sign.ts: TS mirror of the api_sig base-string ordering rule (unit-tested)
- auth/tokenPoll.ts: browser token-poll connect flow as a reusable strategy
- presets/lastfm.ts, presets/librefm.ts: bundled, enrichment-capable,
token-poll presets (both endpoints verified live)
Extends WireContext with profileBase and ConnectContext with authBase so
URL builders and connect flows need no preset lookup.
* feat(music-network): listenbrainz + maloja-native wires, paste-auth presets
Add the scrobble-destination wires and presets:
- ListenBrainz wire (scrobble + now playing via playing_now), backing both
the direct api.listenbrainz.org preset and the Maloja /apis/listenbrainz
compat preset (one wire, two presets, differing only by base URL)
- Maloja native wire (/apis/mlj_1/newscrobble, scrobble only — Maloja has
no now-playing endpoint)
- Shared api_key_only paste-auth strategy (token/key/session-key paste);
the Audioscrobbler wire now dispatches token-poll vs paste by preset
- Presets: listenbrainz, maloja_listenbrainz, maloja_native, rocksky
(scrobble-only, session-key paste, bundled keys — verified live), and
custom_gnufm (token-poll, user-supplied url/key/secret)
- Contracts: ConnectContext.authStrategy, PresetManifest.selfHostedApiSuffix
maloja_compat (the {url}/apis/audioscrobbler mode) is intentionally omitted:
its protocol cannot be verified and is almost certainly the legacy handshake,
not the 2.0 web API; Maloja is covered by the native and ListenBrainz modes.
* feat(music-network): registry, orchestrator, enrichment router + runtime facade
Wire the framework together behind a single facade:
- registry: wireRegistry (WireId -> wire), presetRegistry (the 7 built-in
presets), registerBuiltinWires (one-time side-effect registration)
- CapabilityProbe: wire probe overlaid by manifest staticCapabilities as the
final authority (lets two presets on one wire diverge, e.g. Rocksky's
nowPlaying:false over the Audioscrobbler wire's optimistic yes)
- ScrobbleOrchestrator: best-effort fan-out; flips the per-account
session-error flag on AUTH_SESSION_INVALID and clears it on next success
- EnrichmentRouter: resolves the single primary to its EnrichmentWire; the
type guard rejects non-enrichment wires (Maloja/ListenBrainz)
- MusicNetworkRuntime: the only app entry point — accounts, roles, fan-out,
enrichment, urls, probe. Reads/writes state through the MusicNetworkStore
port (Phase 5 backs it with the auth store) and a RuntimeHost for side effects
- getMusicNetworkRuntime singleton + index.ts public barrel
Tests cover fan-out, master toggle, capability gating, session-error
flip/clear, primary eligibility, and enrichment routing.
* feat(music-network): auth-store state + lossless legacy migration + runtime bridge
Add the persisted Music Network state to the auth store and wire the runtime,
all additively — nothing existing breaks yet.
- authStoreTypes: musicNetworkAccounts / enrichmentPrimaryId /
scrobblingMasterEnabled + actions; legacy lastfm* fields kept until Phase 6
- authMusicNetworkActions + defaults/wiring (synchronous localStorage)
- accountPersistence: migrateLegacyLastfm (lossless — preserves session key,
username and scrobbling preference; fills bundled Last.fm key from the preset;
sets the migrated account as enrichment primary) + sanitizeAccounts
- authStoreRehydrate: one-shot migration guarded by a sentinel so a later
disconnect cannot resurrect the account from still-present legacy fields
- musicNetworkBridge: backs the MusicNetworkStore port with the auth store and
the RuntimeHost with the Tauri shell; initialized in pre-React bootstrap
nowPlayingEnabled stays a global toggle (not a lastfm* field); the Phase 6
playback call-site will gate dispatchNowPlaying on it, preserving behaviour.
* feat(music-network): route playback, enrichment and love through the runtime
Migrate every Last.fm call-site onto the Music Network runtime, preserving
behaviour:
- playback (audioEventHandlers, playTrackAction): scrobble@50% and now-playing
via dispatchScrobble/dispatchNowPlaying; loved-fetch via isTrackLoved. Now-
playing follows scrobbling (as Last.fm did), Navidrome now-playing keeps the
nowPlayingEnabled gate
- enrichment: useArtistSimilarArtists, useNowPlayingFetchers, Statistics, and
the ArtistDetail similar-artists gate now use the runtime, gated on an
enrichment primary
- love: PlayerBar, PlayerTrackInfo, all context menus, useNowPlayingStarLove and
the startup loved-sync route through setTrackLoved / toggleNetworkLove
- player store: lastfmLoved/lastfmLovedCache -> networkLoved/networkLovedCache;
lastfmActions -> networkLoveActions; loved cache storage renamed with a
lossless legacy-key fallback
- getMusicNetworkRuntimeOrNull() for best-effort callers so they no-op (not
throw) before the runtime is initialized
src/api/lastfm.ts and the Integrations UI still use the legacy path; they are
migrated and removed in the next phase.
* feat(music-network): manifest-driven Integrations UI + scrobble batch format
Replace the Last.fm Integrations card with a manifest-driven Music Network
section, and fix Audioscrobbler scrobbling to the batch/array shape.
- settings/musicNetwork/: MusicNetworkSection (master toggle, destination
cards, enrichment-primary picker, Maloja proxy warning, add-a-service list)
driven entirely off the preset registry; icon map from PresetManifest.icon
- IntegrationsTab delegates to MusicNetworkSection (Discord/Bandsintown/

- i18n: musicNetwork.* across all 9 locales, incl. a per-field help hint for
Rocksky's CLI session-key flow (rocksky login)
- scrobble now uses the documented array form (artist[0]/track[0]/…); the bare
single form is only tolerated by Last.fm, Rocksky requires the indexed form
- auth-error detection keys off the response message (not the ambiguous numeric
code) so a Rocksky server-500 no longer flips the account to a reconnect state
- PresetManifest.PresetField gains an optional helpKey
Rocksky's server rejects some non-ASCII track metadata with a 500 — a Rocksky
backend bug; the client call is correct (verified).
* fix(music-network): clearer Integrations layout + scrobble batch fix
Address UI feedback on the Music Network section:
- per-account scrobble toggle moves inside its account block (was a loose
row between cards — unclear which account it belonged to)
- master toggle and the primary-service picker are now boxed blocks at the top,
not bare rows
- primary-service copy reworked: 'Primary service' + a line spelling out that
liked tracks/similar artists/stats come from it while scrobbling still goes
to all enabled services
- distinct zones separated by dividers (master/primary · connected · add)
Also folds in the verified scrobble fixes: documented array form
(artist[0]/track[0]/…) so Rocksky accepts scrobbles, and auth-error detection
by message rather than the ambiguous numeric code (a Rocksky server-500 no
longer flips the account to a reconnect state). Rocksky session-key field gains
a CLI help hint (rocksky login), all 9 locales.
* feat(music-network): indicator + remove legacy lastfm path
Phase 7b/7c — finish the cutover and delete the old Last.fm path.
- LastfmIndicator -> MusicNetworkIndicator (shows the enrichment primary's
status, click -> Integrations)
- delete src/api/lastfm.ts; remove Rust lastfm_request (remote.rs + lib.rs)

* test(music-network): cover scrobble shape + error classification, drop dead i18n keys
Remove the 14 unused legacy scrobble/connection i18n keys across all 9
locales (settings.lfm*/scrobble*, connection.lastfm*); the live love,
profile-link and now-playing keys stay.
Add regression tests for the parity-critical transport logic: the indexed
batch/array scrobble body, the auth-vs-network error classification
(numeric codes collide across providers), and the manifest-overrides-probe
capability merge.
* feat(music-network): provider-agnostic UI + Maloja Audioscrobbler & Koito presets
- de-hardcode the single provider name across every enrichment surface

types, and generalise the scrobble-point comment.

* fix(music-network): bound request timeout on the provider transports
audioscrobbler_request / listenbrainz_request / maloja_request built a
reqwest client with no timeout, so a hung provider left scrobble / probe /
loved-sync promises unresolved. Add a shared provider_http_client() with a
15s timeout, matching the sibling fetch_* commands. Addresses review C3.
* refactor(music-network): dedupe wire transport + no-enrichment helpers
The three provider clients repeated the same invoke -> classify-error ->
MusicNetworkError boilerplate, and the three probe() bodies repeated the
"mark every enrichment capability no" loop. Extract
wires/shared/invokeTransport() (each wire keeps its own arg shape + auth
rule) and markNoEnrichment() in core/capabilities.ts. Addresses review C4.
* refactor(music-network): drop write-only malojaWireMode dead state
malojaWireMode was written on connect but never read — the wire is resolved
by wireId and the Maloja base URL by the preset's selfHostedApiSuffix.
Remove the field, the MalojaWireMode type, the malojaWireModeFor helper,
the AccountPatch entry, the PresetField union member, and the export.

* refactor(music-network): one useEnrichmentPrimary hook, drop lastfm fallback
The enrichment-primary lookup (accounts.find by enrichmentPrimaryId) was
duplicated across two hooks and inlined in the indicator and both
context-menu builders, two of them with a hardcoded 'lastfm' icon fallback.
Add one music-network/ui/useEnrichmentPrimary() returning
{account,label,icon}|null; useEnrichmentPrimaryLabel/Icon delegate to it and
the indicator + context menus consume it directly. Icon fallback is the
neutral 'custom' glyph, never a provider (provider-agnostic, §7.3).

refactor(queue): thin-state refs as canonical, full Track via resolver (#872)
* refactor(queue): wire queue UI to the track resolver (thin-state phase 3) cucadmuh's phase-3 steps: - Selectors (useQueueTracks) read resolver-first: getCachedTrack → queue: Track[] fallback (until phase 4), F4 star/rating overrides merged on read. - QueueList rows source their track from the resolver (queue fallback); rows show title/artist/duration only, so no override merge there. - pendingStarSync star/rating success → invalidateQueueResolver so the cache reflects the synced value. - queueResolverBridge re-seeds on queueIndex change too — the prefetch window travels with the playing track. Additive: queue: Track[] stays canonical and behaviour is unchanged (rows resolve to the same data). Phase 4 drops queue: Track[] and the fallbacks. * docs(changelog): queue panel reads through track cache (#860) * fix(queue): stop a render loop that froze the UI on long queues A long virtualized queue + a track change could lock the WebView for ~2 min: - useVirtualizer was handed a fresh `initialRect` object literal every render, so it kept re-initializing in a loop. Hoisted it to a stable module constant. - getCachedTrack did an LRU bump (Map delete+set) during render — a render-time side effect. Made it a pure read; recency is set at write time in cacheSet. * perf(mobile): virtualize the mobile player queue drawer The mobile now-playing queue drawer rendered the full queue with .map; a multi-thousand-track queue meant thousands of DOM nodes. Virtualize it with @tanstack/react-virtual (uniform rows, stable initialRect) so the DOM stays at O(visible rows), matching the desktop QueuePanel. Active track is centred on open via scrollToIndex. * perf(mini): virtualize the mini-player queue list The mini-player queue rendered the full MiniSyncPayload queue with .map. Virtualize it against the OverlayScrollArea viewport (stable initialRect) so the mini window's DOM stays at O(visible rows). Drag-reorder is preserved: rows keep data-mq-idx alongside the virtualizer's measureElement. * refactor(queue): add resolveQueueTrack/getQueueTracksView helper (thin-state phase 4) Render-safe ref→Track view for the phase-4 consumer migration off queue: Track[]. Resolver cache → caller fallback (legacy queue[idx] during dual-write) → placeholder; ref queue-only flags carried, F4 overrides merged. Pure synchronous read, no cache mutation (the freeze landmine), so it is safe in render. * refactor(queue): keep queueItems as the canonical in-memory mirror (thin-state phase 4) Step 1b: dual-write the thin queueItems ref list at every queue write site (the 11 mutations, next/radio top-up, playTrack, undo/redo restore, instant-mix, radio, server-queue init, lucky-mix rollback, and hydrate) so it tracks queue: Track[] in memory, not only at persist time. Identity-preserving maps (star/rating overrides) keep the same refs and are intentionally left untouched. Resolves the restore double-role flagged for 1b: queueItemsIndex is now the restore-pending sentinel that gates hydrateQueueFromIndex, while queueItems stays canonical -- rebuilt from the whole queue after a full hydrate instead of cleared. Normal mutations never set the sentinel, so it only fires on a fresh cold-start restore, not on later server switches. No behaviour change; queue: Track[] stays the source consumers read until phase 3. tsc + full vitest suite (1119 tests) green. * refactor(queue): mobile queue drawer reads through the track resolver (thin-state phase 4) Step 2: the mobile now-playing queue drawer resolves each row's track from the resolver cache (→ queue: Track[] fallback until phase 4), matching the desktop QueueList wired in the phase-3 commit. Subscribes to the resolver version so rows re-render as the cache fills. Structure (count, order, keys, the playTrack arg) still comes from queue: Track[] until it is dropped in the final step. The mobile drawer was the last queue display surface still reading track metadata straight off the fat queue. tsc + full vitest suite green. * refactor(queue): ref-native queue mutations + dual-write bridge (thin-state phase 4) Step 3a: the 11 queueMutationActions now splice/filter/reorder QueueItemRef[] (matching by trackId + the ref's queue-only flags) instead of Track[]. `bridgeQueueFromItems` rebuilds the dual-written queue: Track[] from the new refs by id — purely structural (no resolver/override merge), so behaviour is byte-identical and playerStore.queue.test.ts stays unchanged green. The working ref list comes from `itemsOf(state)` (derived from queue: Track[] for now); the final step swaps that one line to state.queueItems once the fat queue is gone. enqueue / enqueueAt / enqueueRadio seed the resolver cache with incoming tracks (seed-before-splice) so they resolve without a network round-trip after the fat queue is dropped. Adds a DEV-only id-parity guardrail (queue vs queueItems); dev-runtime only, silent in vitest and prod. tsc + full vitest suite (1119) green; contract test unchanged. * refactor(queue): ref-native radio/infinite top-ups (thin-state phase 4) Step 3b: nextAction's proactive infinite-queue and radio top-ups build the new queue as QueueItemRef[] and bridge back to queue: Track[] (same as the queue mutations), and seed the resolver cache with the freshly fetched tracks so they resolve without a network round-trip after the fat queue is dropped. The radio top-up keeps its HISTORY_KEEP front-trim, now expressed on refs. The exhausted-queue refill paths hand their new queue to playTrack, which keeps its fat-queue handling until the final step (its no-arg case needs the resolver- derived queue that lands with the queue: Track[] removal). tsc + full vitest (1119) green; contract test unchanged. * refactor(queue): undo snapshots store thin refs, not Track[] (thin-state phase 4) Step 4: QueueUndoSnapshot.queue: Track[] becomes queueItems: QueueItemRef[], killing the undo "hidden multiplier" — 32 snapshots of a 50k queue now cost refs, not 32×50k full tracks. applyQueueHistorySnapshot rebuilds the display queue from the refs via resolveQueueTrack: resolver cache → the live queue by id (covers tracks the edit didn't remove) → placeholder. currentTrack stays a full track in the snapshot and is restored to the engine unchanged. Navigation (next/previous/row-jump) keeps `queueItems` and only moves the index — no full resolve or queue rebuild per track change. - **Persist tests** cover the three old-blob migrations; `seedQueue` test helper replaces the `setState({ queue })` seeds. tsc + full vitest suite (1115) green. Behaviour-preserving by the test contract; the gapless track change + cold-start restore + mini cap still want a live smoke before merge. * fix(queue): star/rating keeps the queue row resolved instead of blanking to "…" (thin-state) Rating/starring a queue song flashed the row's title to the "…" placeholder until the next track change. Root cause: on sync success pendingStarSync called invalidateQueueResolver, which DROPPED the cached track — and with queue: Track[] gone there's no fat fallback, so the row resolved to a placeholder until the resolver bridge re-fetched the window. Fix: add patchCachedTrack(trackId, patch) and use it on star/rating success to update the cached entry in place (title kept, synced starred/userRating applied) instead of dropping it. No placeholder flash, no re-fetch. tsc + full vitest suite (1115) green. * fix(player): quota-safe persist so a full localStorage can't kill playback A very large queue (~50k refs) overflows the localStorage quota; the persist write then threw QuotaExceededError from inside set(), which aborted playTrack before audio_play — no audio output at all. Back the player persist with a quota-safe storage wrapper so a failed write degrades to a no-op instead of throwing. Restoring the full ref list at that ceiling (vs a windowed cap) is left as a follow-up. * polish(player): throttle the quota-skip persist warning to once per key The quota-safe persist logs a skip on every failed write; on a huge queue that floods the dev console once per mutation. Warn once per key per quota-exceeded streak, re-armed when a write to that key next succeeds. * fix(queue): port new cover-pipeline readers to thin-state Main's cover pipeline (#870) reads s.queue.length and seeds the player store with queue: [track] in its tests. Under thin-state, queue: Track[] no longer exists — the canonical queue is queueItems: QueueItemRef[]. These four files were brought across in the merge but still spoke the old shape; this commit aligns them with the thin-state contract. - src/cover/usePlaybackCoverArt: queueLength = queueItems.length - src/cover/usePlaybackCoverArt.test: seed via toQueueItemRefs - src/api/coverCache.test: same - src/hooks/useNowPlayingPrewarm.test: same (two test cases) * fix(queue): canonicalize thin-state server identity for mixed-server queues `QueueItemRef.serverId` and `PlayerState.queueServerId` are now written as the URL-derived index key on every writer path, matching the library index direction. The main context menu wrapper carried an inline `zIndex: 999` that
overrode the `.context-menu { z-index: 10000 }` stylesheet rule. The
floating player bar sits at z-index 1000, so when a menu opened near
the bottom of the screen — long enough or anchored low — the player
bar covered it.
Removing the inline override lets the stylesheet rule (10000) win, so
the menu always paints on top of the floating bar. Submenus inherit
the same stacking context so they follow the parent menu.
Closes #521.

* fix(radio): queue navigation, dedup, and similar-first variety (#500) After a Radio session ran a while, three things broke: Queue navigation through duplicates. playTrack re-resolved the active queue index by `findIndex(t.id === track.id)`, returning the *first* matching id, so reaching the second occurrence of a track snapped queueIndex back to the earlier slot — highlight jumped and the next advance played the wrong follow-up. Added an optional `targetQueueIndex` to playTrack, threaded through next(), previous(), the audio:ended repeat-one path, queue-row click, and the queue-item context menu. findIndex stays as the fallback for callers that just have a track and a fresh queue. Queue accumulation. enqueueRadio didn't dedupe incoming tracks; the next() top-up deduped against the live queue but trimmed the played tail down to HISTORY_KEEP=5, so a song heard 8 ago was gone from `existingIds` and a later Last.fm/topSongs response could re-add it; and the `.filter(...)` pass admitted intra-batch repeats (top + similar overlap is common) because it read the dedup set before mutating it. A module-level radioSessionSeenIds set, fed by enqueueRadio and both top-up paths and reset on artist change and clearQueue, closes all three: trimmed ids stay in the set, ids about to be replaced (fresh enqueueRadio wiping the pending radio block) are removed first so callers can re-introduce them, and the dedup pass mutates the set inline. Variety. Starting Radio on a track stacked five top tracks of the seed artist before any similar-artist material played. Switched the seed path and both top-up paths to lead with similar songs (other artists) and only fall back to top tracks when similar comes back empty — preserves the "no Last.fm" graceful degradation but stops the seed artist from monopolising the front of the queue. Not affected: gapless audio:track_switched (already index-based, no findIndex), AudioMuse Instant Mix / Lucky Mix (single-element queues or enqueue-only paths), the artist-radio path (no seedTrack — already picks just one top track and fills the rest from similar). Targeted at classical-music libraries where the "recording artist" tag carries the orchestra and the "composer" tag carries Bach / Mozart / Chopin. Hits Navidrome's native /api/artist?_filters={"role":"composer"} for the listing and /api/album?_filters={"role_composer_id":"…"} for the works grid — Subsonic getArtist only follows AlbumArtist relations and returns 0 albums for composer-only credits, so the native API is the only path that works. Requires Navidrome 0.55+ (uses library_artist.stats role aggregation); on older / pure-Subsonic servers the page shows a one-line capability banner. - Two new Tauri commands: nd_list_artists_by_role + nd_list_albums_by_artist_role, generic over participant role so conductor / lyricist / arranger pages are trivial to add later. - Composers grid: text-only compact tiles (name + participation count pulled from stats[role].albumCount). No avatars — composer libraries carry no useful imagery and the listing endpoint exposes no image URLs anyway. - ComposerDetail: hero with Last.fm bio (via getArtistInfo2) plus the full work grid, with a graceful fallback when the artist has no external info synced. - Sidebar entry default off (Feather icon) — opt-in for the niche classical use case. - nd_retry backoffs widened from [500] to [300, 800, 1800] — helps every nd_* call survive intermittent TLS-handshake-EOF errors that some reverse-proxy setups produce when keep-alive pools churn. - Distinguishes "server can't do this" (HTTP 400/404/422/501) from transient errors so the capability banner only fires when the server actually rejects the request shape; everything else gets a retry button. - i18n in all 8 supported locales. * fix(composer): address review feedback on detail page + role queries - Re-fetch ComposerDetail when music-library scope changes; previously the album grid stayed stale until navigation while the list refreshed. - Thread library_id through nd_list_artists_by_role and nd_list_albums_by_artist_role so role queries respect the active Navidrome library, matching the Subsonic musicFolderId already piped through libraryFilterParams(). - Fix CachedImage cache-key mismatch on ComposerDetail: a Last.fm header image was stored under the Subsonic cover-art key, aliasing cache entries and risking cross-source pollution. - Consolidate the two contradictory composer-imagery comments in Composers.tsx into a single accurate one (the older one referenced an Images toggle that was never implemented). - Align openLink toast duration with ArtistDetail (1500ms -> 2500ms). * fix(composer): keep bio across scope changes, add share, degrade gracefully Three remaining items from the latest review pass on the composer flow. 1. Bio survives a music-library scope change. The previous fix added musicLibraryFilterVersion to the load effect, but that effect also did setInfo(null) while the getArtistInfo effect still depended on [id] alone — so a scope bump on the open page wiped the bio without re-fetching it. Move the info reset into the bio effect (keyed on id) and out of the load effect: the album grid still refreshes on scope change; the Last.fm header image and biography survive untouched, since both are library-independent. 2. Composers join the share pipeline as a first-class entity kind. Extend EntityShareKind with 'composer' (and isEntityKind), branch applySharePastePayload to validate via getArtist (same id pool) and navigate to /composer/:id, and wire a Share button into ComposerDetail. A pasted composer link now opens the composer view instead of the artist view, matching what was copied. i18n added in all 8 locales (sharePaste.composerUnavailable, openedComposer; composerDetail.shareComposer, unknownComposer). 3. Partial server failure no longer hides the works. If getArtist rejects but ndListAlbumsByArtistRole succeeds, the page used to show full "not found" despite having data to display. Switch the not-found gate to require both empty (`!artist && !albums`) and render a degraded header (placeholder name, no Wikipedia / favourite / share / Last.fm image) when only metadata is missing. * fix(composer): right-click share copies a composer link, not an artist link The context menu opened from a composer card / row uses type='artist' because every composer-action (radio, favourite, rating, add-to-playlist) is identical to the artist counterpart — they share an id space and a backend representation. Sharing was the one exception: the "Share Link" entry produced a 'psysonic2-' string with k='artist', so a paste opened /artist/:id even though the user came from /composers. Add an optional shareKindOverride to openContextMenu (default: undefined, preserves existing behaviour) and have the artist-typed branch consult it when calling copyShareLink. Composers.tsx now passes 'composer' on both right-click sites; nothing else changes downstream because the override only affects the share kind. * polish(composer): show Last.fm avatar even without server metadata Two minor follow-ups from the latest review. - ComposerDetail: drop the `&& artist` guard on the header-avatar render path. info?.largeImageUrl can resolve through getArtistInfo(id) without ever needing the SubsonicArtist record, so the previous gate hid a perfectly good Last.fm portrait whenever getArtist failed but the bio fetch succeeded. Replace artist.name with displayName so the alt / aria-label degrade to the localised "Composer" placeholder instead of empty strings. - copyEntityShareLink: doc comment now mentions composer alongside track / album / artist. * fix(composer): derive Last.fm cache key from route id, not from artist record Follow-up to the previous polish: the avatar render path no longer requires `artist` to be populated, but the cache-key gate still did. So when getArtist failed but getArtistInfo returned a Last.fm portrait, the key fell through to coverKey — which is empty without an artist record, re-creating the very aliasing bug the earlier Subsonic-vs-Last.fm fix was meant to close. feat(playlists): confirm before adding songs that are already in the playlist (#329)
Closes #327. When every selected song is already in the target playlist, the "Add to Playlist" flow used to silently show an "all skipped" toast. Users could not tell whether they had hit the wrong target or whether the action was deliberately ignored, and they had no way to add duplicates intentionally (e.g. for a song they actually want twice). New behavior: if every id is a duplicate, ask via the existing GlobalConfirmModal — "Add anyway" appends them as duplicates, "Cancel" keeps the previous silent-skip toast. Mixed cases (some new, some duplicate) and the all-new path are unchanged. Applied at all three add-to-playlist call sites in the context menu (single/multi-track, album selection, artist selection). fix(search,ctx): enqueue on live-search click + reposition CM with right-click (#298)
Two coupled UX fixes around the header live search and the global context menu, born from the same testing pass. LiveSearch / MobileSearchOverlay - Single click on a song no longer calls playTrack(track) without a queue argument. The store fell back to the existing queue, didn't find the new track, and ended up playing something the user couldn't navigate or see in the queue list — the player header showed metadata but the queue itself didn't contain it. - New behaviour: enqueue([track]) + "Added to queue" toast. Whatever was playing keeps playing; the new track lands at the bottom and is visible/navigable. Mobile gets the same behaviour (tap-only). - Desktop also gets a right-click context menu on song rows for users who want immediate playback or different routing (Play Now, Play Next, Add to Playlist, etc.). The dropdown stays open while the CM is up, and the row picks up the .context-active highlight so the user can see which song the menu refers to. ContextMenu - Removed the transparent fullscreen backdrop (z-index 998) that previously caught outside clicks. It also blocked right-clicks from reaching elements *underneath* it — so right-clicking a different song row to reposition the menu hit the backdrop instead, closed the menu, and never opened a new one for the row the user actually pointed at. - Replaced with a document-level mousedown listener (gated on `contextMenu.isOpen`) that closes the menu when the click lands outside `menuRef`. Standard outside-click pattern, doesn't occlude the underlying UI, and right-clicking another row now naturally pivots the CM to that row. i18n: new search.addedToQueueToast key in 8 locales. The pending counter desynced from the actual approval list (state.queue holds approved items as history, so the count never decreased after a host approve). The host-pushed pendingApprovalCount workaround didn't hold up under live testing either, so we're rolling the whole cap feature back rather than ship something flaky. Two anti-spam knobs the host can dial during a live session: 1. Per-guest suggestion mute — Mic / MicOff toggle next to the kick/ban buttons in the participants popover. Symmetric (re-enable later). State lives in OrbitState.suggestionBlocked: string[]; the guest reads it and disables its own Suggest controls so the user sees a clear "muted" state instead of silent failures. Host-side sweep also drops their outbox entries as a safety net. 2. Max pending approvals cap — number input in the session-settings popover, default 0 (= unlimited so existing sessions are unaffected). When set, the host sweep stops folding new outbox entries into the approval list once the cap is reached. The OrbitQueueHead surfaces "X / Y pending" so guests can see when they're getting close. State changes are additive on the wire — both fields are optional, with parseOrbitState defaulting them, so older clients keep working. evaluateOrbitSuggestGate() centralises the guest-side allow/block check shared between useOrbitSongRowBehavior and the ContextMenu Add-to-Session items, plus suggestOrbitTrack as a defensive last line. i18n: en + de + fr + nl + zh + nb + ru + es. Also fixes an earlier dedupe-key collision: the (user, trackId) cache keys were missing their separator (NULL byte slipped in during the previous patch), so two tracks could share a key and one of them silently overwrite the other. Guest suggestions now auto-merge into the host's play queue at random positions inside the upcoming range, so they actually surface alongside host-picked tracks instead of piling up at the end. Per-item dedupe via addedBy:addedAt:trackId keys survives reshuffles. Guests get a read-only mirror of the session in place of their queue panel — live-card for the host's current track, suggestion list with submitter attribution, and a footer reminding them the host owns playback. Track metadata is resolved lazily and cached locally. New host-only settings popover (gear in the bar) with auto-approve and auto-shuffle toggles plus a "Shuffle now" action. Settings live in the OrbitState blob and push immediately to Navidrome; missing fields on older blobs default to "both on". 15-min shuffle now touches the real playerStore queue via a new shuffleUpcomingQueue action — previous behaviour only reshuffled the guest-facing suggestion history. A manual shuffle is available from the settings popover so the interval can be verified without waiting. Start-modal reworked into a single step: share-link is visible and copy-able from the start, auto-copied on Start if the host hasn't already hit Copy. Link carries a live name-derived slug (parser strips it, SID is authoritative). LAN/remote-server hint above the facts. Random session-name suggester pulls from three pattern pools for ~10k unique combinations. Per bcorporaal's request in #253: making a queue from multiple albums required either replacing the queue (Play) or going into each album detail page first. Three new entry points cover the common workflows: 1. Hover button on the album cover next to Play. Both buttons share the same accent style and size so the secondary action is just as readable as the primary — first attempt with a darker pill was hard to see and unbalanced the hover. 2. Context-menu entry "Enqueue Album" between "Open Album" and "Go to Artist". The i18n key already existed (was used by the album-song sub-context); just wiring up the action. 3. Multi-select toolbar in Albums.tsx: new "Enqueue (N)" button placed before "Add Offline" so power users selecting several albums no longer have to right-click. Plus a context-menu entry "Enqueue N Albums" for the same flow when a multi-album right-click happens anywhere else. All multi-album fetches use Promise.all(getAlbum(...)) — Navidrome handles parallel requests instantly (per memory note from PR #246). i18n: 4 new keys per locale (3 with pluralisation: contextMenu.enqueueAlbums, albums.enqueueSelected, albums.enqueueQueued). Parse type and serverVersion from Subsonic ping; persist per-server identity and run a background Instant Mix probe (random songs + getSimilarSongs) for Navidrome 0.60+. Hide the AudioMuse server toggle when the probe returns no similar tracks; clear prefs when the server is no longer eligible. Artist pages fall back to Last.fm similar artists when AudioMuse is enabled but the server returns none. Instant Mix failures set a per-server issue flag with a settings warning and toast. feat(discovery): Navidrome AudioMuse-AI client integration and library scoping
Add per-server toggle for AudioMuse-style discovery: Instant Mix via getSimilarSongs, server similar artists instead of Last.fm on artist pages, and higher similar-artist count in Now Playing when enabled. When browsing a single music folder, filter similar/top song results by album ids from that scope (Navidrome does not apply musicFolderId to those endpoints). Request larger similar batches under a narrow scope. Keep radio-from-track as two blocks (shuffled top songs, then shuffled similar-by-artist) so it differs from Instant Mix. Show Alpha badge beside the setting. Add research/ to .gitignore. |

feat: fix UI freezes in ZIP and offline cache downloads
ZIP downloads (PlaylistDetail, Albums, NewReleases, RandomAlbums) now use
invoke('download_zip') via Rust streaming instead of fetch+blob+arrayBuffer,
eliminating JS heap saturation on large files. Progress shown in ZipDownloadOverlay.
Offline cache downloads (600+ songs) no longer freeze the UI: transient job
state moved to a separate non-persisted offlineJobStore, reducing localStorage
writes from ~1200 down to 2 for an entire download. Also adds playlist offline
toggle — clicking the cache button when already cached removes it from cache.
